Free Council parking scheme for health and care workers and volunteers

The Government have introduced a new parking scheme where NHS staff members, health and social care workers or NHS volunteer responders are entitled to free Council parking while on duty during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Parking passes can be obtained through local authorities, NHS Trusts, the Royal Voluntary Service, and can be displayed in your car window when on duty to allow you to access parking concessions in local authority owned off-road car parks and on-street bays. S long as the parking passes are completed correctly, clearly visible and following the given guidance, staff will not receive Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) and therefore will not be fined.

The full guidance can be found here.
