This workshop is open to all Health, Care and VSO colleagues with lived experience in the North East and Yorkshire region.

The workshop will stimulate discussion about the environment that we need to create to get our more diverse staff to disclose.

End of Life Care Training for H&SC Support Workers

Free places are available for health and social care staff working across West Yorkshire and Harrogate to attend virtual, interactive education sessions around end of life care. These sessions are available for staff in bands 1-4 who work in any care setting.

The training sessions cover 4 key areas of end of life care:

1) Supporting personalised and advance care planning discussions at the end of life

2) Difficult conversations at end of life

3) Care of patients in last weeks and days of life

4) Bereavement and loss (including self-care)

Do you support patients/clients and those important to them to start to think about their care as they become less well?

Do you want to gain more skills and knowledge around end of life care and having those challenging conversations?

Online/Telephone Health Coaching & Motivational Interviewing Skills Training

The West Yorkshire & Harrogate Health and Care Partnership are offering some training places to health and social care professionals free of charge.

The module offered is titled ‘Online/Telephone Health Coaching & Motivational Interviewing Skills’ and involves a full day live interactive webinar which will support the implementation of personalised care. This webinar will include a mixture of learning, reflection and practical application and be delivered in small groups by expert coach-trainers to kick start your health and coaching journey.

* This training will be taking place in January and February 2021. *


In this course you will learn:

Practical tools and techniques to build your skills in a health coaching approach

The neurosciences of motivation, ownership and confidence

The secrets of behaviour change

The core competencies in line with the internationally-accredited standard
