New funded short courses available in January 2021
2 new short courses are due to start in January 2021, which are now available fully funded by Health Education Yorkshire and Humber for eligible health and social care staff and PIVO’s. Both 12 week courses will be delivered using a blended approach of teaching and learning strategies online, and students will be supported by the University of Huddersfield’s virtual learning environment. Students will be able to access the learning material flexibly so there will be no requirement for staff to be released for study leave or specific timed sessions.
These courses have been developed as non-credit bearing, to allow staff to access professional development opportunities which meet their needs without requiring you to complete academically demanding assessments. They have also been designed in response to the ongoing priority needs of practice partners in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Available courses are:
- Infection Prevention and Control (HXH5003) – Appropriate for staff at all levels of organisations
- Psychological Wellbeing and Resilience in Healthcare Settings (HXH5004) – Particularly appropriate for staff in roles where they may be managing or supporting colleagues who are experiencing high levels of work-related stress which is affecting their mental health and capacity to cope
Further information can also be found by searching on the ‘Course finder’ on the University of Huddersfield’s website.
