THINK Delerium Resources
Here you will find resources created by the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Integrated Care System, aimed at increasing awareness of delirium, or ‘acute confusion’. Delirium is a condition where people have increased confusion, changes in thinking and a reduced attention span and without detection and treatment, delirium can be life threatening.
Therefore, these resources are aiming to ensure all health and care staff are aware of delirium so it can be detected and managed appropriately, improving patient care and experience.
THINK Delerium Training Films
Here are links to training films created as part of the THINK Delirium workstream. Work is currently ongoing to make these films into a structured training package, for the meantime they are available for you to watch individually.
Please note: These films have been designed to show both good and bad practice. In the films with Kenneth and Wendy bad practice is highlighted with the intention it will stimulate key learning throughout the learning module. It is important to remember that while the films may be shocking and alarming, these scenarios are written and presented to be thought provoking and encourage rich discussion among health care professionals across the health and care system.
